December 13th-REVIEW |
|
| |
Houston Chronicle - December 13, 2007:
Season of songs - Christmas with the Champion Sisters
This local sister act's three-part harmonies make for a swinging Christmas collection, highlighted by the Andrews Sisters homage Mister Santa and a fun take on I'll Be Home for Christmas. Whimsical, inspired arrangements by Houston pianist Paul English make almost every song merry and bright. |

October 5-REVIEW |
|
| |
Houston Chronicle – October 5, 2007:
Singing, swinging Sisters champion survival
Music, we all know, makes you feel -- giddy, snuggly, sappy, romantic. Some song, sometime, has done something to each and every one of us.
The Champion Sisters have used music to push through a series of life-altering struggles. It helped sister Molly survive two bouts with breast cancer in 1997 and 2005. That sense of hope continues to pulse through her musical work with identical-twin sisters Brenda and Sandra. The silky, snappy trio has released a kicky disc of tunes, In the Mood, produced by jazz pianist Paul English. A Christmas collection is due soon. Before that, the sister act performs early Saturday at the Komen Houston Race for the Cure. It's a cause, obviously, near and dear to their swinging hearts.

April 15-REVIEW |
|
| |
Houston Chronicle – April 15, 2007: High honors
The Mosbachers welcomed 150 guests to a party tent where World War II parachutes swept across the ceiling, the United States Navy Band performed, and the Champion Sisters, that glam trio of local songbirds, serenaded President Bush with Just the Way You Look Tonight. |

Houston Chronicle – April 4, 2007: HGO'S Cinderella Ball
And no need to import entertainment, not with the superb hometown talent that included the Paul English Trio, the Champion Sisters, students from HGO Studio and the Richard Brown Orchestra, performing from the stairways that flank the Grand Foyer. |
